Do you feel pulled in every direction, with too little peace? The Gospel of Matthew invites you to see Jesus as the King whose reign can steady your everyday life right now.
This study takes you through the Gospel of Matthew by its major themes, from the genealogy to the Great Commission. You'll discover:
- The promised King: how Jesus fulfills God's promises to Abraham and David, and why He is "God with us"
- Kingdom first living: what the Kingdom of Heaven really is and what it means to "seek first the kingdom of God"
- The call to discipleship: the upside-down Beatitudes and Matthew's own "Follow Me" moment at the tax booth
- Ready for His coming: what Jesus meant when one "will be taken" and the other "will be left"
- Sent by the King: living as His ambassadors through the Great Commission
Included:
- An easy-to-follow Greek word study on "will be left" (aphiēmi)
- 6 group discussion questions and 6 personal journal prompts
- A 45–60 minute Leader's Guide with a session flow, two timestamped podcast audio clips, opening and closing prayers, and a Kingdom First weekly challenge
