Let me share a personal story about my entrepreneurial journey, which began before my days as a pastor and interwove with my years in ministry. Driven by a passion for using my creative talents to honor God, my journey has been nothing short of amazing.
I initially set aside my business ventures to focus entirely on my pastoral duties. However, after seminary and ordination, and realizing the importance of self care, a desire for entrepreneurship began to stir again—this time as a creative endeavor pursued during my Sabbath days of rest, distinct from my pastoral duties. Despite its initial success as a "lucrative hobby," I soon realized I was trying to manage it through my own efforts.
The irony was clear—I often preached about surrendering to God but struggled to release control of this new venture. The turning point came during a quiet moment of prayer. I understood that, just as with my pastoral gifts, my entrepreneurial talents should also be entrusted to God's guidance. That's the moment I chose to intentionally release control of my current life-coaching and faith building practice into God's hands, trusting not in my own understanding, but welcoming God's wisdom into every aspect of my business. It was our business now, with Jesus in the lead.
Today, my entrepreneurial venture is such a joy for me, not just as a business, but as an extension of my faith and ministry. It's a testament to what can happen when we let go of our limited vision and embrace the infinite possibilities that surrender to God's will offers.
As a result the Faith Building Resource CLUB now exists to help other Christian women deepen their relationship with the Lord, enhance their spiritual journey, cultivate a heart of worship, and experience growth that will bring glory to God.
